RESEARCH PROJECT

Title

Improving crops’ resilience to climate change using Temporal Genomics

Date

2025–2028

PI

Dr. Bruno Nevado

Summary

New techniques for crop breeding are essential to provide enough food for a growing human population in a warming world.

In this project we will develop the use of Temporal Genomic – the analysis of time-series of genomic data using contemporaneous and historical samples – to identify genes providing adaptation to warming in crop wild relatives.
